yea well comcast tried to get me for $190.00 for this regulatory recovery adjustment fee…What with me being a single mother of two, yeah, let me support others without aphone, meanwhile comcast will cut me off for not paying that!

I find it disturbing that I work my ass off to support my family so that people who don’t want to work can get free services like cell phones and cable tv. If there was welfare reform, these freebies would be reduced. I work hard for my luxuries, and so should everyone else. cable tv and cell phones are not necessities

Fact is those fees Comcast charges starting with 50.00 worth of “Regulatory Recovery fee” is just another way to get more money from the customer. Other digital cable companies like Mediacom and others do NOT charge for them.

In essence you are being charged for fake “taxes and fees”. Your bill for 49.00 a month unlimited ends up being $100.00 plus a month and is never discussed in sales or billing — it just shows up ….

Just one more Comcast scam.

But a State or County “sales tax” on telecommunications is not really a “sales tax”; it’s actually a UTILITY TAX (or ‘user tax’)…
Comcast is also applying (in California) the ‘sales tax’ line-item to its Internet Service (creating what is actually an Internet Access Tax !).
These taxes are made more ‘legal’ by local gov’t by changing what they are called.
